When your computer no longer recoginzes
your hard drive, then iDriveRepair can be used to fix the hard drive so
that it can be read again. iDriveRepair only works with Windows
operating systems, but, you can repair any supported hard drive, and
once the repair is completed, work with that hard drive in the
operating system it's from (eg, it's a mac formatted or *nix formatted
hard drive, use iDriveRepair to fix it first).
In a nutshell,
iDriveRepair will fix the service areas of the hard drive so that your
system can recognize it again. At that point you can work with the
hard drive in order to retrieve the data from it. Depending on the
severity of the damage to the device you may be required to use
recovery software such as VirtualLab to recover the data.
If we
are unable to repair the device, then there is no charge. Keep in mind
that the service is solely to repair the device, it has nothing to do
with recovering the files. However, we are aware that a customer
purchases the service for the purpose of recovering their data, and in
some cases using additional recovery methods, such as copying the
device or recovering the data with software will be required to get
your files. Without the iDriveService, performing those tasks would not
be possible, since your system could not access the hard drive.
